Phillip Faraone/Getty Images for GibsonLzzy Hale will help kick off the inaugural season for the newest MLS team, Tennessee’s Nashville Soccer Club.
The Halestorm frontwoman is performing a special instrumental riff, titled the “Gibson Guitar Riff,” ahead of Nashville SC’s very first game, taking place this Saturday, February 29 at Nissan Stadium in Music City.
Hale will play the riff on a 1968 Gibson Les Paul Hero, which was customized specifically for Nashville SC. For each home game, a different artist with play the “Gibson Guitar Riff” on the custom Les Paul.
Nashville SC has certainly been taking advantage of its city’s music scene. Last week, fellow Nashville residents Judah & the Lion released a new song called “Never Give Up on You,” which will serve as the Nashville SC theme song.
