The the first leg of the joint outing, which will also feature support from In Flames and Trivium, will launch June 12 in Bristow, Virginia, and will wrap up August 1 in Concord, California. Things will then pick back up again starting October 2 in West Palm Beach, Florida, before coming to a close November 13 in Reno, Nevada.
For Megadeth, the tour will be their first North American tour in three years, as well as their first run through the States since frontman Dave Mustaine announced last summer that he’d been diagnosed with throat cancer.
“I’m back again, better than ever and coming to a town near you with Lamb of God, Trivium and In Flames,” says Mustaine in a statement. “If you want high octane metal madness this is the tour for you.”
LoG, meanwhile, will be touring in support of their upcoming self-titled new album, arriving May 8.
“The world has never needed heavy more than it does today and top to bottom, this tour delivers!” says guitarist Mark Morton. “Lamb of God has toured with and been friends with all of these bands for years, but for all of us to be on the same bill is something extra special. Come early and stay late. This is THE metal tour of the year.”
