NBCUniversalThe Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney has composed the theme for the new MSNBC series What’s Eating America, Deadline reports.
The show will follow celebrity chef and TV personality Andrew Zimmern as he travels the U.S. and “explores the most provocative social and political issues impacting voters through the lens of food.”
“I have been a big fan of Andrew’s for over a decade,” Carney says. “In that time, we have become friends, and it is such a thrill to get to create music that will be used in his new show on MSNBC.”
“My friend Jordan Lehning and I worked on this piece a few months ago in my studio in Nashville,” the drummer continues. “When Andrew inquired about providing music for his show, I had a feeling this would be the perfect match for his cross-country adventure.”
Carney previously composed the theme for the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman, which he recorded with his late uncle, Ralph Carney.
What’s Eating America will premiere Sunday, February 16 at 9 p.m. ET on MSNBC.
