Loma Vista RecordingsThe late Chester Bennington‘s pre-Linkin Park band Grey Daze will release a new album called Amends on April 10.
The collection features re-recorded songs from the group’s early days, combined with Bennington’s original vocals remastered.
Amends features the previously released single “What’s in the Eye,” as well as the new song “Sickness,” which is available now for digital download. “Sickness” is also accompanied by a video, streaming now on YouTube, featuring archival live footage of Grey Daze, which plays in between a dramatized story based on Bennington’s youth.
“This is loosely based on a true story from when Chester was 15 years old,” says Grey Daze drummer Sean Dowdell. “He was being bullied at school and one day suffered a real beating. That was the day I assumed a role as protector and almost older brother figure to Chester that has lasted since, even after his passing.”
Here’s the Amends track list:
“Sickness”
“Sometimes”
“What’s in the Eye”
“The Syndrome”
“In Time”
“Just Like Heroine”
“B12”
“Soul Song”
“Morei Sky”
“She Shines”
“Shouting Out”
