and now its over. It lasted 34 years and 1,080 games but it came to an end yesterday against Tennessee. The news wasn’t about the blow-out(Vols won 66-45), it was about the three point streak. Since the beginning of the 3 pointer in college basketball, The ‘Dores had made a three pointer in every game for 34 years spanning 1,080 games in a row….until Saturday. The final three minutes Vandy student section and fans(all 10 of them including Nate Bargatze) were on pins and needles to see if the streak would continue. Sadly, it did not. The good news is the students and student athletes at Vanderbilt can now put even more time into their studies instead of worrying about a streak that HAD endured for 34 years.
