June 28th is when we get the new album Let’s Rock from The Black Keys. First one in five years. They’ve been pretty off the radar in that five-year period with a comment or two of “I hear they hate each other now” or “I hear they’re not talking anymore,” which they make fun of in the music video for “Go” below.
ABC Radio says,
The track is accompanied by a goofy video that imagines Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carneyspending the five years since the last Black Keys album, 2014’s Turn Blue, at a mediation retreat to repair their broken relationship.
“It was great making this video with [director] Bryan [Schlam], partially because it was filmed at the very type of place it is making fun of,” Carney says.
“The video was fun, but we still haven’t spoken,” Auerbach adds, presumably joking.
