Cam is my featured ‘No Tail Left Behind’ pet this time! Poor girl had spent her entire life tied up outside on a chain. When her previous owners moved away, they left her behind. Operation Education rescued her from the life she’d been living, and is now looking for a temporary foster home, or even better- her forever home!
She’s a three-year-old Pittie mix who would do best in a home without cats or young kids, because they may make her nervous. She’s a bit shy at first, but she’ll warm up to you quickly. It’s pretty heartwarming to know that approximately 3.2 million pets in animal shelters are adopted each year. But unfortunately, nearly 1.5 million animals are euthanized, according to ASPCA, and the biggest reason for this is because of the abundance of animals and lack of available space to keep them any longer, or their “time’s up.” But because of local animal shelters like Operation Education based out of Murfreesboro, we’re teaming up to raise awareness of animals in the area looking for forever homes.
