In my opinion, it’s one of the greatest comedies of all time! It definitely is the best college movie of all time! Talking about “Animal House,” which just recently turned 40! Fans who attended the St Paul Saints(of The Independent League) vs Sioux Falls Canaries game got treated to an epic food fight! According to local TV station KARE 11, the park welcomed fans to the game with complimentary waterproof ponchos. Attendees were then given access to prepared food packets, mashed potatoes, marshmallows, powdered donuts and popcorn. Then everyone patiently waited until the bottom of the 5th inning, when Animal House’s memorable food fight scene started playing on the “big board.” Not only a great way to celebrate an epic anniversary of an epic scene from an epic movie, it was a great cause too- Food Fight Night. Fans brought non-perishable food that was donated to SafeZone, a day center that cares for homeless and underserved youth and young adults. Plus, for every dollar the Saints spent on food used for the Food Fight, the club donated a dollar to Second Harvest Food Bank.
Both scenes are below. One from the game and the other from the movie!
