My Chemical Romance fans, it looks like MCR5 might finally be happening!
During the band’s October 30 show at the Hollywood Bowl, Gerard Way told the crowd that the group plans to spend 2027 making a new record, and probably won’t be playing any shows while they work on it. He even hinted that they hope to see everyone again in 2028.
The announcement came during a pretty memorable night that also featured the live debut of the Danger Days B-side “We Don’t Need Another Song About California” and a surprise reunion with The Used’s Bert McCracken, who joined MCR onstage for “You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison.”
Their next album would be their first full-length release since 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
So, it sounds like 2027 may be a quiet year for MCR fans, but hopefully it’ll be worth the wait! Read more from Loudwire HERE.
