Maynard James Keenan is adding another unexpected item to his résumé: sushi restaurateur.
According to Loudwire, his new restaurant, Queen B Sushi, is set to open September 4th in Cottonwood, Arizona, near his Queen B Vinyl Cafe. The menu features everything from classic rolls, sashimi and nigiri to more elaborate signature dishes, and (naturally) there’s a Puscifer-inspired roll called Puscifer Pops, made with bluefin and whitefish, crab, shrimp and ponzu.
Keenan says his love of sushi goes back decades, including a 2000 tour of Japan with A Perfect Circle that he described as an “eye-opening” experience. Queen B Sushi is the latest addition to his growing collection of non-music ventures, which already includes winemaking, coffee and the vinyl cafe.
