An original member of Deftones just proved that once you’re in a metal band… you’re always in the pit.
Former bassist Dominic Garcia recently shared that he actually got kicked out of a Deftones show… not for backstage drama, but for going a little too hard in the crowd. (Is there such a thing?!) We’re talking full chaos mode, security escort and all… while he’s apparently yelling, “I used to be in this band!”
Even better, Garcia isn’t bitter about how things ended back in the early days. He helped start the band, got replaced as they evolved, and just kept it moving into other music. But years later, he shows up to a show, turns into that guy in the pit, and gets tossed out like any other fan. Honestly? That might be the most on-brand, full-circle metal story ever.
