Reckless Eden
Born from a chance connection and unlikely friendship and fueled by a shared drive to create, Reckless Eden is a collision of stories, experiences and sounds that transcend boundaries. Their music exists at the intersection between post-grunge grit, modern rock energy, and the irresistible force of their hooks. In 2023, Alex Belew, a professional chef and Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 winner with a lifelong passion for music, crossed paths with Phoenix native, guitarist, and touring photographer Sanjay Parikh while cooking for multi-platinum rock band Shinedown before a show in Birmingham, Alabama. Their connection was immediate, and their friendship quickly grew into a creative partnership built on mutual respect, shared humor, and a passion for making music. To capture the musical storm that ensued, Sanjay brought in producer and guitarist Ryan Daminson, a fixture in the Phoenix music scene who has produced artists including Asking Alexandria and Memphis Mayfire. Ryan soon joined as lead guitarist, turning the collaboration into the trio that became Reckless Eden. Together, they’ve crafted a sound that sits at the intersection of post-grunge, mainstream rock, and modern rock, with occasional nods to a modern country sensibility. “There’s been a wave of artists blurring the lines between rock and country lately, and really between genres in general,” Alex explains. “We’re definitely not afraid to cross those lines.”
