The Smashing Pumpkins just dropped the news that Gish, the album that basically blew the roof off early ’90s alt-rock, is getting a 35th anniversary vinyl reissue and yeah, collectors are already drooling.
The iconic 1991 debut (recorded with Butch Vig and boasting platinum-certified bangers like “Siva,” “I Am One,” and “Rhinoceros”) is getting pressed back onto 180-gram wax with the original packaging for May 29, almost exactly 35 years after its initial drop. According to Consequence, there’s a limited-edition splatter variant (gray with pink & purple streaks) only through Billy Corgan’s Madame ZuZu’s and indie stores, plus a more chill standard black version if you’re not trying to flex that hard.
Pre-orders are open, and honestly, if you’re building a legacy shelf of killer pressings, this is basically mandatory… alt-rock history on heavyweight vinyl, returning just in time for summer spins. Read more from Consequence HERE.
