A longtime fixture of alternative rock is stepping into a new role. Flea has announced his first solo album, titled Honora, marking his first full-length release outside of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The album features contributions from Nick Cave and Thom Yorke, signaling a shift away from the funk-driven sound Flea is best known for. The project centers on mood, composition, and restraint, with a focus on atmosphere rather than virtuosic bass work.
Alongside the album announcement, Flea confirmed plans for a small-scale tour across North America, the UK, and Europe. The shows are scheduled for intimate venues, reflecting the personal nature of the material.
