The American Heart Association has identified Pearl Jam‘s 1992 hit, “Even Flow,” as ideal for performing hands-only CPR. The proceedure requires chest compressions at a rate of 100 to 120 per minute, and the grunge anthem fits those parameters perfectly with a tempo of 105 beats per minute. “Break out the flannel shirts and ripped jeans and turn on some Pearl Jam, and learn how to save a life with Hands-Only CPR,” the AMA wrote in the caption of their Instagram post, while adding, “If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of ‘Even Flow.’” The nonprofit has also highlighted recent tracks like Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” Bad Bunny’s “El Clúb,” and Charli XCX’s Brat standouts “Spring Breakers” and “360” as having the correct tempo for hands-only CPR, helping spread awareness about effective CPR techniques through popular music. What's the WORST part of going to a concert in Nashville now?
Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
