Firefighter’s Dog Sparks Fire in Chapel Hill Home After Biting Battery Device

Colton the dog almost gave the “Paw Patrol” a run for their money as he was just trying to get charged up for “whackadoodle time” when he decided to chomp on a lithium-ion battery.

Of course, teeth and batteries are never a good combination and this situation proves it yet again as puncturing the battery sparked a mini fire and maximum chaos in this Chapel Hill firefighter’s home!

Fortunately, the family was able to see it happen on their home cameras, rushed home and extinguished the blaze.

In an even better stroke of luck, Colton’s fine, the home is fine, only the rug is toasted, and this family learned a valuable lesson in proper battery storage.
