In what feels like it could be straight out of a “Final Destination” movie, passengers on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas were horrified as a transparent panel on one of the waterslides broke.
The ship’s “Frightening Bolt” slide, which promises a 46-foot drop and a 360° loop, lived up to its name and added another drop to it as the “glass” (acrylic) snapped, sending water and one guest plummeting to the deck. The person who fell out is still in one piece and was being treated by the ship’s medical team as other panicked guests screamed “stop the slide!”
Which would you trust more? A giant, floating building or waterslides in general? Kelly has some thoughts on that.
