Foo Fighters have secured their 12th No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart with their new track, “Today’s Song,” which jumps up two places this week to reach the top spot. The current chart-topper extends the band’s record for most Rock & Alternative Airplay No. 1s, ahead of both Green Day and Linkin Park’s total of eight. Foo Fighters last topped the tally with “Under You,” which led for six weeks in 2023 “Today’s Song” also achieved success on multiple Billboard charts, including vaulting up ten spots to reach No. 6 on Alternative Airplay and surging 14 places to claim No. 10 on Mainstream Rock Airplay, while debuting at No. 32 on Adult Alternative. Additionally, the group extends their record for the most career Top 10s on Alternative Airplay, as “Today’s Song” becomes the 32nd, while also claiming the most Top 10s on Mainstream Rock Airplay with 33. “Today’s Song” is currently a standalone single released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Foo Fighters’ self-titled debut album.
