When you think about your high school graduation ceremony, you may remember some classmates, maybe you remember who spoke and some of what they said, and maybe all you remember is how excited you were to finally be done. Do you remember anything your principal may have said or done that day?
This principal in Arlington, Texas, Jason Mutterer at Mansfield Summit High School, made a lasting impact on all 443 of this year’s graduating seniors when he wrote a personalized note to every single one of them. Not only did he write handwritten cards to each student, Mutterer also enclosed a $1 bill with every one as an example of a random act of kindness.
Before you think he didn’t personalize each and every one of those letters, Mutterer, AKA “Coach Mutt” shared on Facebook, “They’re my kids, they’re my students. It’s personal.”
