Billy Corgan is currently performing alongside his new band, the Machines of God, on their A Return to Zero Tour, where they are playing various Smashing Pumpkins hits from the band’s later albums. During a show at Théâtre Beanfield in Montreal on Friday (June 13), the band was joined by onetime Pumpkins touring bassist – and former Hole band member – Melissa Auf der Maur, who surprised the audience by joining the band onstage for their encore performance of the Pumpkins’ 2000 track, “The Everlasting Gaze.” Auf der Maur joined the Pumpkins in 1999 as a replacement for original bassist D’arcy Wretzky, and remained with the band through December 2020. The Machines of God tour concludes on June 29 in Minneapolis, with Corgan set to rejoin his Smashing Pumpkins bandmates for an upcoming tour across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East that begins in late July. What's the WORST part of going to a concert in Nashville now?
Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
Wed May 13
Nashville, TN, USA
Partly cloudy
