Two Nashville creatives started an online petition to rename the city’s airport after musician Dolly Parton. So far, the Change.org petition has amassed over 50,000 signatures. “Dolly’s a great Tennessean and great unifier who adds legitimacy to the south because her story resonates with everyone,” comedians Lydia Popovich said. “All people smile when they talk or think about her — she’s the best of the south.” Change.org even featured the petition on its Instagram, and noted that less than 5% of the world’s airports are named after women. “We could all be Departin’ from Parton!” the petition description reads. What's the WORST part of going to a concert in Nashville now?
Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
