Colossal Biosciences maybe got the wrong message from all the “Jurassic Park” movies when it comes to extinct creatures staying extinct.
Recently we talked about them using woolly mammoth DNA to create a new species called the “woolly mouse” but now they have brought back a species of wolf that used to roam all the way from Venezuela to Canada up until 10,000 years ago. The Dire Wolf was brought back from extinction as scientists reprogrammed regular wolf’ DNA and had dogs play surrogate moms.
Now, Romulus, Remus, and Khaleesi are here and Colossal Biosciences will continue moving down their “extinction wishlist” with creatures like woolly mammoths, dodos and Tasmanian tigers.
