Metallica will debut an immersive virtual reality experience of their 2024 show in Mexico City on Apple Vision Pro on March 14. The high-resolution video and immersive spatial audio capture the concert in 180-degrees, with Apple constructing a custom stage layout for the shoot that featured 14 immersive video cameras. The VR footage captures Metallica’s sold-out September 29 finale of their two-year M72 World Tour, which features the heavy metal legends performing hits like “Enter Sandman” and “One.” “With Metallica on Apple Vision Pro, you feel like you’re right there: front row, backstage, and even on stage with one of the biggest bands of all time,” said Apple VP of Marketing Communications, Tor Myhren. Those without the $3,500 Pro headset can preview the experience at Apple stores, and an accompanying EP titled, M72 World Tour: Mexico City, will be released on Apple Music in Spatial Audio alongside the VR debut. What's the WORST part of going to a concert in Nashville now?
Parking costs more than the ticket
Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
Trying to leave Bridgestone with 18,000 other people at once
Voting Ends: Never
