A man from India received $200 in compensation after suing a movie theater for showing too many ads. Abhishek M R filed the suit after seeing “Sam Bahadur” in December of 2023. The movie was supposed to end at 6:30 p.m., but actually ended at 7 p.m. due to the number of ads shown before the start of the film. Abhishek claimed this caused him to miss an important work call, and he asked for $547 in damages and $57 for mental agony. While he didn’t receive this higher sum, he was awarded $230 in damages and $92 for legal costs. “Twenty-five to 30 minutes is a considerable amount of time to sit idle in the theater and watch unnecessary ads. People with tight schedules do not have time to waste,” the ruling said. (UPI)

Waiting 45 minutes for an Uber that smells like weed
Post-show traffic that somehow still exists at 11pm on a Tuesday
The “convenience fee” being more inconvenient than convenient
