A shoe that was once cast aside as something you slip on to go to the beach or run out to the mailbox has been making its way into the mainstream over the years. Now, though, its causing some struggles for schools across the country.
These loose-fitting, floppy slip-ons are popular among students as they are a comfy, close-toed alternative to slides or sandals, but just because you can put them in “sport mode” doesn’t mean they are not a bit of a safety hazard.
