What’s often a hypothetical scenario became real for people in California as wildfires raged and people had to evacuate, deciding what they could realistically take with them and what they had to leave behind.
Of course there are things you definitely should always take with you like documents, irreplaceable mementos, etc. but what about the other things that are valuable to you that may seem trivial to others?
As social media gives us firsthand accounts of what it’s like to be in these disaster situations, people have also used it as an opportuniy to show off their “evacuation hauls” where they reveal what they thought was important to not risk losing in the fires.
