In an interview with Rolling Stone, Chester Bennington’s mom, Susan Eubanks, shares her thoughts on Linkin Park’s reunion and their new lead singer, Emily Armstrong. Eubanks feels “betrayed” by the band, revealing that no one told her about their plans to reunite. “They told me that if they were ever going to do something, they would let me know,” Eubanks says. “They didn’t let me know, and they probably knew that I wouldn’t be very happy. I’m very upset about it.” Eubanks found out about the reunion via the internet, and tuned in to the band’s recent livestream show to hear Armstrong singing the late Bennington’s parts in their songs, before she quickly turned it off and started to cry. “I feel like they’re trying very hard to erase the past,” Eubanks shared. “They’re performing songs that Chester sang. And I don’t know how the fans are taking it, but I know how I take it. And having [Armstrong] singing my son’s songs is hurtful.” (Billboard)
