Before the late 90’s, songs that were primarily created to diss other artists belonged only to the world of Hip-Hop. But at the end of the last century, when Rap-Rock entered the scene, Rock became a prime forum to lay dat diss down!
Some rock disses are playful, such Pavement’s lackadaisical attack of Smashing Pumpkins on “Range Life” (though Billy Corgan wasn’t amused). Others sound practically demented, like when Axl Rose ranted against everyone and everything in “Get in the Ring.”
