True Villains have been a favorite of mine for quite a few years now. They’re one of those bands that have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to live performances and the constant RAD singles they drop. After a busy 2023, the band is growing nationally in popularity and even appearing on some big rock festivals this summer, so it only makes sense they would drop a heavy hitter like “Dead To Me” on Friday. Lyrically the song seems to be about leaving the past behind and really realizing who you’re true friends are, and after what the band has been through this past year, I imagine they are learning that rather quickly. I love watching real rock n roll bands climb the rock n roll ladder grass roots style, and few have done it as well as True Villains. Here’s to 2024 being the year of True Villains and the world finally realizing what a lot of us have already known for years.
