Mairo Cinquetti/NurPhoto via Getty ImagesRecord label Loma Vista Recordings has dropped Marilyn Manson from its roster following allegations of abuse made by actress Evan Rachel Wood and multiple other women.
Wood — who previously detailed her experiences with sexual abuse and domestic violence but until now never mentioned Manson by name — wrote in an Instagram post Monday that the musician had “horrifically abused” her during their relationship. Several other women then followed with their own public allegations against Manson.
In a statement obtained by Variety, Loma Vista says, “In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately.
“Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects,” the label added.
Loma Vista released Manson’s most recent album, WE ARE CHAOS, last September. The label also worked with him on his previous two records, 2017’s Heaven Upside Down and 2015’s The Pale Emperor.
Manson has not yet publicly addressed the allegations made by Wood in her post.
