The jump in sales can be credited to the nine-track collection’s debut on physical formats last week. Upon its initial digital-only release, Post Human: Survival Horror debuted at number five on the Official Albums chart.
“We really weren’t expecting to get a Number 1 after having a record out for three months, so we’re super stoked for this to happen especially after getting the Top 5 last year,” frontman Oli Sykes tells OfficialCharts.com.” We’d like to thank all the fans for the support for getting us to this point,” he adds. “So much is going on with the band right now it feels like a really exciting time for us, and this is a great way to start our year.”
Post Human: Survival Horror, the first in a planned series of Horizon EPs, includes the singles “Parasite Eve” and “Teardrops,” as well as collaborations with Evanescence‘s Amy Lee and Yungblud, among others.
This week, Bring Me the Horizon announced plans to perform Post Human: Survival Horror in full during three U.K. shows scheduled for the fall.
