Oscilloscope LaboratoriesA new trailer for the upcoming Serj Tankian documentary Truth to Power is streaming now on YouTube.
The film follows the System of a Down frontman’s longtime involvement in activism for social justice and human rights, specifically in relation to his ancestral homeland of Armenia. Tankian’s SOAD band mates Shavo Odadjian and John Dolmayan also appear in the film, as do Rage Against the Machine‘s Tom Morello and producer Rick Rubin.
“Whatever statement I make is based on an injustice occurring somewhere that I want to rectify,” Tankian says in the clip. “I don’t think about what I’m going to say, how I’m going to say it. I just open my mouth, and it comes out.”
Truth to Power will be released February 19.
