Martin Philbey/RedfernsThe lawsuit filed by ex-Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn against former band mates Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan is now over.
According to documents filed on October 29, Fehn issued a notice of “voluntarily discontinuance” for the case. The document notes that the suit is being discontinued “with prejudice,” meaning the charges cannot be refiled, and “without costs to any party.”
Fehn originally filed the lawsuit in March 2019. He claimed that Taylor and Crahan had been operating shell businesses in an attempt to funnel money to themselves without giving Fehn his fair share.
A week after news of Fehn’s suit broke, Slipknot announced that he was no longer in the band. He’d been a member of the group since 1998.
Fehn has since been replaced a new percussionist only known as “Tortilla Man.” He’s largely believed to be Michael Pfaff, who played with Crahan in his band Dirty Little Rabbits, though Slipknot has not officially confirmed his identity.
