The inaugural Lockdown Awards, presented by the streaming platform LiveXLive, will be held on December 11. It includes categories such as Favorite Group/All-Star Performance and Favorite Zoom Performance.
For example, the Favorite Group/All-Star Performance nominees include BBC Radio 1’s massive cover of the Foo Fighters classic “Times Like These,” Post Malone and Travis Barker‘s rendition of Nirvana‘s “About a Girl,” and the Finneas-produced performance of U2‘s “Beautiful Day” for the Dear Class of 2020 special.
Meanwhile, The Rolling Stones‘ performance of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” on the One World: Together at Home special is nominated for Favorite Zoom Performance. You’ll also find Machine Gun Kelly and Barker’s cover of Paramore‘s “Misery Business” and Toni Cornell‘s take on Temple of the Dog‘s “Hunger Strike” in the Favorite Cover category.
Additionally, Pearl Jam‘s performance of “Dance of the Clairvoyants” during the All in WA fundraiser is nominated for the Most Like a Music Video title, as is Yungblud‘s collaboration with 24kGoldn on The Yungblud Show, the U.K. rocker’s online talk show. The Yungblud Show is also nominated for Favorite New Music Series.
