Avatar details new album, ‘Hunter Gatherer’; listen to lead single, “Silence in the Age of Apes”

eOneAfter sharing a teaser earlier this month, Avatar has unveiled the full details of the band’s upcoming new album, Hunter Gatherer.

The eighth full-length effort from the Swedish metellars will arrive on August 7. The lead Hunter Gatherer single is titled “Silence in the Age of Apes,” and is streaming now on YouTube alongside a cinematic video showing off the group’s new look.

Hunter Gatherer is the follow-up to 2018’s Avatar Country, which includes the single “The King Wants You,” and which was accompanied by film titled Legend of Avatar Country: A Metal Odyssey.
