ABC/Randy HolmesBy now, you’ve probably seen the meme about singing the choruses to your favorite songs to ensure you wash your hands for the proper amount of time. Well, now Brandon Flowers is doing it for real.
The Killers have tweeted a video of him washing his hands while singing an a capella rendition of the chorus from the group’s signature hit, “Mr. Brightside.”
From the time he opens with that iconic “jealousy” and finishes with “’cause I’m Mr. Brightside,” Flowers had been washing his hands for a full 27 seconds. According to the CDC, you should wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.
In between practicing healthy cleanliness habits, The Killers have been working on a new album, Imploding the Mirage, due out May 29. Last week, they dropped the record’s first single, “Caution.”
