ABC/Image Group LAOzzy Osbourne‘s new solo album Ordinary Man has debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.
The Black Sabbath‘s first solo effort in 10 years sold 77,000 equivalent albums in its first week, 65,000 of which were traditional album sales.
Ordinary Man‘s debut matches Ozzy’s previous peak on the Billboard 200 as a solo artist. He previously reached number three on the ranking with 2007’s Black Rain.
Sabbath debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 once, with their 2013 comeback album, 13.
Meanwhile, across the pond, Ordinary Man also debuted at number three on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. That’s the highest Ozzy’s charted as a solo artist in his home country.
Ordinary Man is the follow-up to 2010’s Scream. It was recorded with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, and includes guests spots from Slash, Tom Morello, Elton John and Post Malone.
