Kevin Winter/Getty ImagesMarilyn Manson is up to something.
On his Instagram over the weekend, the Antichrist Superstar posted an image of a waveform with a cryptic caption reading, “Omnes surdus es et nunc audite me.” According to Google Translate, that’s Latin for “All deaf and now you hear me.”
Additionally, the post includes a number of hashtags, including #EveryoneWillSufferNow, #BlackSabbathBornAgain, #AntichristSuperstar, #2020 and #YouHaveNoIdeaWhatsComing.
As for what this all means, fans are speculating that Manson is teasing his next album, the follow-up to 2017’s Heaven Upside Down. The Black Sabbath hashtag, for example, refers to the iconic metal band’s 11th studio album, 1983’s Born Again. Manson’s new album would also be his 11th studio effort.
Manson previously described the upcoming record, which he’s been recording with country and Southern rock artist Shooter Jennings, as a “study of the chamber of horrors in my head.”
Others have theorized that Manson could be planning a tour to celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of his 1996 opus, Antichrist Superstar.
Nothing yet has been officially announced, so stay tuned.
