The Faith No More frontman is currently on the road with his reunited band Mr. Bungle, and DeVito attended the group’s show in Los Angeles Thursday night. According to former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, who’s handling the kit for the Bungle tour, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star took a break from rocking out to give Patton some acting advice.
“It was so great to see Danny DeVito last night,” Lombardo writes in an Instagram post alongside a photo of him next to the actor. “One of nicest guys I’ve ever met.”
“Watching him give our vocalist Mike Patton acting tips was a treat all on its own,” he continues. “A true artist with an appreciation for many styles of music.”
Mr. Bungle, who hadn’t performed together in nearly 20 years before this tour, will play L.A. again Friday night. They then head to San Francisco this weekend, followed by a trip to New York City next week.
