ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaCourtney Love can now add “Icon” to her many accolades.
The Hole frontwoman and Golden Globe-nominated actress will be honored with the Icon Award at the 2020 NME Awards, hosted by the British publication.
“Thank you so much for this award, it means a lot,” Love says. “[NME was] there at the beginning and whilst we’ve sparred like siblings over the years I’ve always had a huge respect for what you do, and been very grateful for the support. It’s going to be a great night.”
Garbage‘s Shirley Manson was the last winner of the NME Icon Award.
The 2020 NME Awards will be held February 12 in London. The nominees include Billie Eilish, Slipknot, Foals, The 1975, Bring Me the Horizon, Yungblud and Lana Del Rey. The 1975 and Yungblud will perform.
