Earlier this week, the US Department of Energy released some “energy saving tips” on how to save money and energy in the summer and winter months.
This website also had their take on what’s a “normal” temp throughout the day – But their philosphy on what the temperature should be in your home isn’t exactly going over very well on the internet.
They recommend setting your thermostat to 78 degrees during the day and set at 82 degrees at night. Because who doesn’t love waking up in a pool of sweat in the morning.
They said it will save you nearly $180/year on your energy bill. It’s okay, I’ll just pay the extra 180 bucks and not be miserable. No thanks!
