Really, people?
You know as well as I do that waiting 13 years for a new Tool album is a long time. But after a while I just started to make fun of it. I thought for sure I’d be telling my grandkids how awesome the new album is (kidding, obviously), but some fans took this 13-year wait a little too far.
Danny Carey told Metal Hammer,
“I felt bad for [Maynard James Keenan]. He even told me he was getting death threats from these idiots out there.”
“They just have no idea what our work ethic is. These things don’t happen, man. There’s no other record that’s going to sound like this Tool record.”
“What you hear is what you get, and what you get is what it takes to get it done.”
Don’t be ridiculous, people. You know it’s gonna be 85 minutes of badassery anyway. Savor the sound. We get Fear Innoculum on August 30th.
