I was having flashbacks from 2005 when I saw “MySpace” trending on Twitter today. Bad news to the people that still listen to music on MySpace (…crickets…) when the news got out that MySpace accidentally wiped out over 50 million songs that have been uploaded from 2003 to 2015 and may no longer be accessible.
You mean I can’t listen to ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’ and ‘Bad Girlfriend’ and ‘Sweater Weather’ on MySpace EVER again?!?!
In a statement on their website, they said,
“As a result of a server migration project, any photos, videos and audio files you uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available on or from Myspace. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
For some reason, the internet is freaking out about it, although I’m sure a majority of those people can’t even remember their password. Nor do they remember the last time they’ve even logged in. I wonder if people would even notice if they didn’t even say anything?
Hey MySpace, if you could delete by awful mirror selfies I took with my digital camera in 2003, that would be great too.
CNN has more of the story HERE.
