What is that you say?! Unacceptable-unless you’re Hayley, she’s only seen 4 movies-Titanic, Mean Girls, The Notebook, and Mean Girls again. “Office Space” is a cult comedy classic that only pulled in a measly $10.8 million in 1999, but after hitting the shelves in DVD form it spread like wildfire. It made boring day-to-day office life funny and also warned us that if we don’t give certain people their stapler….the building could be on fire. “Office Space” was released Feb 22,1999 making it 20 years old now! Some other iconic movies released that year were “Fight Club”, “American Beauty”, “Being John Malkovich,” “The Sixth Sense,” “The Blair Witch Project,” and “The Matrix.” Coincidence it was the same year The Buzz was born?! Pretty good year for entertainment! Not only will “Office Space” be turning 20 this year, but it will be inducted into The Texas Movie Hall Of Fame! Mike Judge and the cast will reunite for a screening and panel March 7 in Austin.
