A line drive to a pitching arm would stop most people from the throw. Velasquez, apparently, is not most people. He drops his glove and with his left hand makes the throw to first,not only making the throw but also getting the out. According to the Phillies play-by-play man Tom McCarthy, Velasquez is actually ambidextrous which explains why this throw looked as natural as it did, but that takes away zero from this play.
