I love it when Operation Education brings me puppies into work!! This is Rocket. He’s one of a litter of nine, and has found his forever home thanks to Operation Education Animal Rescue in Murfreesboro. However, his brother Titan is the last one standing and is still in search of his forever home!
I’ve heard multiple excuses of how some people overlook adopting from a rescue group because they “want a puppy,” assuming all dogs from rescue groups are all adults or older. Some of them are, yes! But rescue groups have all kinds of dogs available for adoption: long-haired, short-haired, big breeds, small breeds, adults, and puppies, just like Rocket. Always make a rescue your first choice!
A small, hardworking group of volunteers make up the team at Operation Education Animal Rescue. Donations, no matter how small, will benefit animals in need like Rocket. Donating, volunteering to foster, and even adopting from Operation Education all benefit the rescue group. To support the rescue and to see their full list of adoptable pets, visit them at OpEdAnimalRescue.com!
It’s pretty heartwarming to know that approximately 3.2 million pets in animal shelters are adopted each year. But unfortunately, nearly 1.5 million animals are euthanized, according to ASPCA, and the biggest reason for this is because of the abundance of animals and lack of available space to keep them any longer, or their “time’s up.” But because of local animal shelters like Operation Education based out of Murfreesboro, we’re teaming up to raise awareness of animals in the area looking for forever homes.
