Bonnaroo 2018 has come to an end as of yesterday, but at the end of Day 3 (Saturday), some outrage has surfaced over a song during Eminem’s headlining set that night.
According to PEOPLE, a spokesperson for Eminem says,
“Contrary to inaccurate reports, Eminem does not use gunshot sound effects during his live show. The effect used by Eminem in his set at Bonnaroo was a pyrotechnic concussion which creates a loud boom. He has used this effect — as have hundreds other artists — in his live show for over 10 years, including previous US festival dates in 2018 without complaint.”
Although, long-time fans have sounded off on social media saying the gunshot sounds have been part of his set for years…
If you can’t handle a sound of a gunshot, do not go to an Eminem concert Andrea Russett

Eminem has ended Kill You with the gun shot effects for (at least) 6 years now and this is the first time someone ever complains

I was at Bonnaroo. Didn’t stay for Eminem’s set, but while walking back to the campsite, the loud BOOMs were a lot louder than the music and super apparent, and I remember thinking “Was that a gunshot?!”” Read more from People HERE.
