Breaking Benjamin have finally announced the official release date for their eagerly awaited new album, “Ember.” The set, which marks the band’s sixth full-length, will reach all the usual outlets on April 13. “Ember” will mark the group’s follow-up to their 2015 full-length album,“Dark Before Dawn.”
So far, Breaking Benjamin have released two songs off “Ember:” the debut single, “Red Cold River,” and a new track called “Feed the Wolf.” While both “Red Cold River” and “Feed the Wolf” are heavy tracks, vocalist Benjamin Burnley says the new album covers the spectrum.
“People have always really liked the heavier side of the band,” Burnley said in a statement. “I think that’s what they sort of gravitate towards. But we also make sure to explore our melodic and softer side too. We just tried to make it more extreme. The softer side on this album is really soft, and the heavy side is really heavy. We decided to give everybody what they want to the furthest degree.”
In other news, Breaking Benjamin is currently touring the U.S. with Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet for My Valentine. The guys will also appear at a number of music festivals this year, including Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion and Northern Invasion.
