As everyone knows by now, the rock community suffered another great tragedy at 9 in the morning on Thursday when Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park, was found dead in his Los Angeles home. Whether you were a fan of the band or not, it’s undeniable that, on that day, we lost a true icon, and a great guy.
Stone Sour took the stage in Mansfield that same night, and lead singer Corey Taylor, who knew Bennington for years, decided to dedicate the band’s hit song “Through Glass” to the late singer.
“We all lost somebody today,” said Taylor before the song. “I lost a friend… and this was one of his favorite songs. And I wanna dedicate to him. Chester, we will f***ing miss you.”
