It was 7 year ago that Nashville faced devastation, but rallied together as a city that will not go down without a fight! Every rainfall record was shattered during the weekend of May 1st-2nd with over 13.57 inches of rain measured during a 36-hour period. The combined two-day rainfall total doubled the previous 48-hour rainfall record in Nashville. We came together as a city united in rebuilding and rededicating our lives to rebuild our city. There were at total of 26 deaths due to the flood with 11 occurring in Nashville. 10,000 people lost their homes and over 2 billion dollars in damage occurred including $120 million in public infrastructure damage in Nashville. 7 years later, look at how our city has rebounded and grown. We Are Nashville!!!!!!
